SecureCheck Direct Deposit was established in 1997 to give customers the choice to receive their money by check when the payer requires direct deposit. Today the SecureCheck program has more than 80,000 recipients enrolled in 28 states and at over 1,200 participating stores. SecureCheck facilitates the electronic distribution of benefits from federal government agencies, including Social Security and Veteran's Administration, state agencies, state unemployment. In 2011, the SecureCheck program was expanded to include payroll, retirement and pension benefits.
